Ina and Katherine our Highland Cows
At the Autumn Rare and Local Breed Livestock auction we spotted two lovely girls looking lost and decided they could not be split up and so we bought Ina 2nd of Roseland and Katherine 2nd of Roseland our pedigree Highland heifers.
They have joined George our Belted Galloway steer and are all happy munching their way through the grass and hay.
Ina is the more timid of the two and Katherine will eat out of our hand but is still unsure whether to let us touch her.

We have just registered as members of the Highland Cattle Society and our fold name is Woolley. (Fold is the highland name for a herd)
So we have Woolley Highland Cattle!!
And in June 2011 they gave birth to a calf each. Katherine had a girl called Catin which id Gaelic for Katherine and Ina a boy named Coineach after his father.
