Lambs 2009
Every year we take in a couple of orphan lambs or a triplet to bottle feed some time in mid March in time for Easter.
These were our first two from a neighbouring farm. They were the third of triplets and as a ewe can only feed two at a time they were getting very small and needed to be bottle fed four times a day. Sadly one did not feed very well and did not make it. Another neighbouring farm had a ewe with mastitus and let us have the lamb to feed. So Charlie joined Jack, our first two lambs. They are big sheep and are now two years old.
Wanting something different last year we managed to get hold of two Jacob lambs, Bella and Bill. They were jet balck when they arrived but now look like they have had highlights!.jpg)
Bill and Bella are now getting to be a year old and its time to start thinking about this years lambs.
