Easter Lambs 2010
Two new baby lambs have arrived for Easter.
Born on 1st April Annie bought over two lambs on Good Friday, just 24 hours old!
A boy and a girl. These pictures are taken on 3rd April so they are just 48 hours old.
They have different mothers and each come from families of triplets.
Feeding every four hours for the first week, then we should be able to leave them over night and get some sleep ourselves.
Feeling a bit frightened and a little sore from elastic bands on the tail they were a little slow to feed particularly the boy but they have both perked up and showing more interest in their bottles.
They are all skin and bones at the moment but less so than Jack when we first got him and look at him now boss of the field (unless they are in with the cattle).
We hope they will settle in quickly and guests will be able to help feed them during the week. But first things first we must see if they are going to be strong enough. They will be worried at first having left their mothers and arriving in a strange new place.
